Farmer's Market with an Anniversary Deal Twist 7/14/12

We're gonna be at the Moscow Farmer's Market tomorrow from 8-1. Sorry we missed ya'll last weekend, we were cooking for a wedding rehearsal dinner at Schierman's Clubhouse and Event Center http://www.schiermans.com/  It was a lovely, laid back event- much like Tessa and my rehearsal dinner which happened exactly 1 year ago today!!!

Come congratulate us tomorrow on our 1 year wedding anniversary!!! AND, since love is in the air- we will have a special offer- if you book a pizza catering event for your anniversary, reunion, or any group gathering- we will cook you up a pizza for free at the market tomorrow and take 10% off your total catering price. WOW, love makes us crazy and generous:)

Menu Special:
We're gonna try out a pizza with a home-made white Ranch sauce with sausage, red onion and roasted pasilla peppers. Some may shout blasphemy! Others love Ranch! We'll see how it goes:) My rebel spirit likes to disregard any unwritten pizza rules, so I say anything can go on a pizza. Hope to see you out there!

We'll also be highlighting local garlic scapes and basil from Deep Roots Farm... being harvested by the "better half" of The Whole Pie Pizza (my wife Tessa) right now as I type... http://www.deep-roots-farm.com/

Give. And You Shall Receive.

A little shameless self-promotion- we got some local press in the Moscow/Pullman Daily News:) Chiggity-check it out! And while Im at it, we spent Saturday evening at Palouse Falls Brewery helping with the Dollars for Dallas event to raise money for cancer treatment for Dallas Meyer. It was a wonderful evening with great people. Contact me if you would like to donate.

This week, I am preparing for a private wedding rehearsal dinner on friday, so we will not be at the farmers markets this week.

Pullman Farmer's Market

Our first market was a blast! I was blown away by the gratitude and generosity of all the farmers/sellers/growers and customers.

We walked away with bags of free lettuces from Jason and Margaret of Omache Farm. In addition, we were given a seeded baguette, a muffin, and a tomato plant, and I think even more!

With a dough tray of dough left and 10 minutes left in the market, I exclaimed "5 dollar pizza sale!" And we fervently hammered out 10 or 15 more beautiful pizza pies to feed the hungry Pullman crowd. What did I learn? Pullman people love 5 dollar pizza, especially the one's with home-mode pesto on them:)

See ya'll next week...
